In preparation for the transition to Workday Student as our primary source for Canvas user, course, section, and enrollment data, we would like to provide you with an overview of how this change affects user identification, data synchronization, course management, and the Gradebook export and import functionality within Canvas. Canvas will begin loading Fall 2025 data from Workday Student on 15 May 2025.
How will Faculty & Staff be impacted?
If you use Canvas to deliver instructional content, you will continue to do so. Workday will not fundamentally alter MyCanvas functionality; however, the presentation of data within MyCanvas will exhibit important differences. What data elements have changed?
How will Students be impacted?
Canvas will remain as the University’s Learning Management System (LMS) with Workday Student as its source of student information (courses, demographics, registrations, etc).
